New inhabitants:

• Pinito: We received a baby raccoon of one month of age. He was found alone in the middle of the forest, and a kid gave it to the workers of MINAE in Bagaces.
• Peluche: came from Cañas town.
• Sara: A baby margay arrived from the School of Veterinary in Heredia. She was kept in a house, and a student bought it to the family to rescue her. Unfortunately she died after a few weeks of being in the Shelter.

At the end of October, we moved to our new office. It was built thanks to the collaboration of Mr. Hagnauer, to improve the old souvenir and make this wonderful office. Now we have more control of all our visitors and animals.

Also Mr. Hagnauer made a donation to built restrooms and an open class called "Los Cauceles" for education of all our visitors, kids, students and tourists. At "Las Pumas Souvenir" you can find articles such as t-shirts and postcards of the shelter.

The latest news is the improvement of our Trail "El Tigrillo". It is a trail that goes next to the Corobici River, with a gallery forest of an ecosystem almost disappearing: the Tropical Dry Forest. You can find different species of plants, insects, birds, reptiles and small mammals.
